1. Overview

Degenet LLC (“Degenet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates degenet.com. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit this website or contact us. It is intended for a global audience, including people in the United States, California, the European Economic Area (“EEA”), and the United Kingdom.

This website is currently a static informational site. It does not offer user accounts, online forms, ecommerce, behavioral advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, or embedded third-party media.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

The site provides email and telephone links. If you choose to contact us, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, contact details, message, and any project or business information you include. Your email or telephone provider handles that communication under its own terms and privacy practices.

Server logs and device information

Our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically process standard request and security logs when your browser requests the site. These may include IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested URL, referring URL, date and time, and diagnostic or security data. We do not use these logs to build advertising profiles.

Information stored on your device

We use local browser storage to remember your consent selections. This record includes your category choices, a version number, and the date and time of your selection. It is necessary to honor your choices across page loads. It is not used to track you across websites.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Our consent controls organize technologies into the following categories. Necessary technologies are enabled by default; every optional category is disabled unless you consent.

• Necessary: local storage used to save your consent preferences and resources required to display and operate the site.
• Preferences: Google Fonts, if you allow it. Your browser then requests font files from Google, which may receive your IP address, browser details, and request information. If declined, the site uses system fonts.
• Analytics: tools used to understand visits and usage. We do not currently use analytics tools.
• Marketing: advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking technologies. We do not currently use marketing technologies.
• Embedded Media: third-party video, audio, maps, or social content. We do not currently use embedded media.

We will not load resources assigned to an optional category before permission is given. You may change or withdraw consent at any time through Cookie Settings. Withdrawing consent prevents future loading; the page may refresh to remove a resource already loaded during the current visit.

Where technically applicable, we treat Global Privacy Control and similar recognized browser signals as a direction not to enable sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or non-consensual optional tracking. The site does not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and optional categories remain off unless you affirmatively enable them.

4. How we use information

We use information to deliver and secure the website; remember privacy choices; diagnose errors and prevent abuse; respond to inquiries; communicate about requested services; operate and improve our business; comply with law; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We do not use website activity for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Legal bases for EEA and UK processing

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: consent for optional technologies such as Google Fonts; legitimate interests to operate, secure, and improve a limited informational website and respond to ordinary business inquiries; steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and contract performance, when discussing or providing services; and compliance with legal obligations. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

6. Service providers, third parties, and transfers

We may disclose information to vendors that provide website hosting, infrastructure, security, communications, and professional services, only as needed for those services. Google receives network request information only if you enable Preferences and its font resources load. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction.

Our providers or operations may process information outside your country, including in the United States, where privacy laws may differ. Where required for EEA or UK data, we use a recognized transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision, approved standard contractual clauses, or another lawful safeguard.

The site contains email, telephone, and potentially other external links. Following a link or contacting a third party takes you to a service we do not control; that party’s privacy policy applies.

7. Data retention and security

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including providing services, maintaining business and legal records, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Retention periods vary by the information and applicable requirements. Consent choices remain in your browser until you clear site data or we replace the consent record with a new version. Hosting logs are retained according to the applicable provider’s operational and security schedule.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection; to withdraw consent; and to appeal a denied request. EEA and UK residents may complain to their local data protection authority. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where law permits or requires.

United States and California

Residents of certain U.S. states may have rights to know or access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of personal information, and to opt out of sale, targeted advertising, certain profiling, or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not currently sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for targeted advertising through this website. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right.

California residents may also request information about categories of personal information collected, sources, purposes, categories of recipients, and specific pieces of personal information, as applicable. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law; we may ask for proof of authority and identity verification.

9. Children’s privacy

This business website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through it. We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site, our practices, or legal requirements. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where required.
